This elegant teakettle works well and the silver color looks beautiful against the brick and mortar in my kitchen. A thing of function and beauty. I read one review that complained of the handle getting hot, but I have not had that issue at all. The handle stays nice and cool to touch. I love the lines of the teakettle and enjoy seeing it sitting on the stove. Very satisfied with this purchase.

This is OK as kettles go but the handle gets very hot when using with a gas stove and the kids should be vented.

Water can spurt out of the poorer if it is still boiling when you pour.

Also, the angle of the poorer makes it hard to fill down the spout from a faucet. The lid is stiff to get on and off.
